TLABC's webinar series on family violence returns in the new year with this session on mediation, as well as on unbundled services, in cases involving family violence. Out of court resolution is strongly encouraged by the Divorce Act and the Family Law Act and offers many benefits, provided that counsel and mediators carefully take into account the presence and risks of family violence. Unbundled services allow clients to receive at least some legal services when they cannot afford to fully retain counsel, but may present risks and challenges when family violence is present. This session's speakers bring a wealth of experience and practice points on these important topics.
