Help & Information

What's my Username/What's My Password?
When a new member joins, the system will automatically send an email with instructions on setting a username and password. If you missed or deleted that email, click the log in box at the top of the page. Click “I forgot my Username or Password” and enter your email address. Instructions will be emailed to reset your log in information. If you cannot remember the email on file, call the Member Services Coordinator at 604-696-6519 or email membership@tlabc.org for support.

How do I change my listserv settings?
Click here to be directed to the listserv settings page. You will see a column of all the listservs to which you are subscribed. Select your preferred setting, including a "daily summary". If you wish to suspend email delivery of listserv posts and access via the website only, choose “Vacation Mode”. IMPORTANT: click “save” at the bottom of the page after making changes.

How do I search or browse TLABC listserv archives?
Click here to be directed to the listserv page to search or browse messages. You will see all the listservs to which you are subscribed. Select the appropriate list to read posts in chronological order (newest at the top). You can enter search terms (keywords or author) and/or dates as appropriate.

I'm interested in becoming a member, but it's the midst of the membership year? Do I still pay the full fee?
No. If you join TLABC mid-year, dues are prorated by quarter. If you wish to join within the last quarter of the year, these months are added on as an extended subscription bonus.

Does TLABC get involved in cases on behalf of individual citizens?
TLABC does not get directly involved in individual lawsuits, but the association will, where appropriate, apply to intervene – or assist on certain cases and appeals – if the case is of significant public interest and has the support of its members.

Does TLABC offer legal advice or provide legal referrals?
No, TLABC does not provide legal advice. TLABC functions primarily as a member-serving organization, supporting lawyers with their practice by providing them with an interactive education and communication network. TLABC does not provide legal referrals, but will direct the public to contact the Lawyer Referral Service, operated by Access Pro Bono. This service can be accessed Monday through Friday, from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm by calling 604-687-3221.
