Sustaining Membership
Sustaining Members go the extra mile for TLABC, voluntarily offering their enhanced financial support to ensure that the association is able to maintain the high standard of legal education and resources for which it is known throughout the legal community in BC. 

To show appreciation, TLABC offers Sustaining members:

• a savings of $50 for each education seminar;
• two complimentary practice group listserv subscriptions.

Your commitment at this premium membership level will be recognized in the Verdict, on signage at events, and on the TLABC website, and with surprise VIP experiences. 

Sustaining Membership Dues: $1,000
 

• in the areas of Personal Injury, Insurance, Wrongful Death, Medical Negligence, Employment and/or Administrative/Tribunal law, for the most part represent the plaintiff; and/or
• in criminal practice, for the most part represent the accused; or
• practise in other areas of law and do not practise in the areas listed above at all.

Regular members are entitled to voting privileges as set forth in the Association's bylaws, on all issues in all meetings of members of the Association. Only Regular members may attend meetings where votes will be tallied, and only voting members may hold office within the governance structure of the Association.

Regular Membership dues are determined by year of call, as follows:

• Under 1 year call - $148
• 1-2 years call - $207
• 3-5 years call - $265
• 6-10 years call - $501
• 10 years call and up - $647
   

• for the most part, represent the defence in the areas of Personal Injury, Insurance, Wrongful Death, Medical Negligence, Employment and/or Administrative/Tribunal law, and/or
• for the most part, act for the Crown or agents rather than the accused, in criminal proceedings.

Articling Student Membership
For students who are currently completing their articles. (Non-voting membership).

Paralegal/Legal Assistant Membership Dues:  $212
 

Retired/Non-Practising Lawyer Membership
For lawyers who are now fully retired from the practice of law and/or temporarily not practicing law, but who continue to subscribe to the goals and purposes of TLABC and wish to maintain their membership and certain membership benefits. (Non-voting membership.)
