"Making the Most of Expert Evidence" Criminal Defence Series

Expert evidence can make or break a case and is becoming increasingly common in our courts. This upcoming webinar series will give you guidance on how to avoid missteps and make the most of expert evidence, whether it is an expert you retain or one you need to challenge. This four-part series will walk you through critical aspects of handling expert evidence, including:
  1. Determining when you need expert evidence and finding a qualified expert;
  2. Retaining an expert and appropriate pre-trial communications with your expert and Crown experts;
  3. Challenging and establishing a proposed expert witness’s qualifications; and
  4. Challenging and eliciting expert evidence at trial.
