Trial Tech: Counsel and the Court on Preparing and Presenting Electronic Materials

As the British Columbia Supreme Court begins to experiment with electronic trials an hearings, the expectations of the Court can be challenging to predict.   While different judges may expect different levels of electronic document preparation, there are key practices that can help the Court receive material in an efficient manner.   This session has two goals: one is to hear insights from both the Court and counsel on preparing and presenting electronic documents.  The second is to provide an update on the steps the Court is taking to experiment and move toward more electronic proceedings at trial, including various software and hardware solutions.
